Product Materials & Construction

WeatherStrong cabinets are crafted using our proprietary All-Weatherboard® construction—a waterproof, durable material engineered specifically for outdoor environments. The doors and drawer fronts are made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), offering long-lasting performance against moisture, UV rays, and extreme temperatures without warping, swelling, or fading.

Yes. WeatherStrong cabinets are engineered to support heavy countertop materials including granite, marble, quartz, tile, and other standard surfaces. For long-term beauty and performance, always follow your countertop supplier’s recommended maintenance practices.

WeatherStrong hardware is built with high-grade stainless steel, offering exceptional resistance to corrosion—ideal for outdoor environments.

Still, in oceanfront locations where salt air and sea spray are prevalent, consistent cleaning and maintenance are essential. To help prevent surface rust, it's recommended to clean all stainless steel components several times a month to remove salt deposits before they can lead to corrosion.

Yes. WeatherStrong cabinets feature a frameless “European” design, meaning all doors and drawer fronts are full overlay—they cover the entire front of the cabinet box for a clean, modern look.

Yes. WeatherStrong cabinets are engineered to perform in a wide range of climates. For high-heat environments, ensure cabinet surfaces do not exceed 265°F. In regions where temperatures drop below freezing, installation under cover is recommended for best results and added protection.

No. Painting or altering the surface color of WeatherStrong cabinets is not recommended and will void the warranty. Doing so can restrict airflow within the material and increase heat absorption from direct sunlight, which may affect performance and durability.

Because installation surfaces can vary—such as wall and floor construction—WeatherStrong Cabinetry does not include installation hardware with your order. Please refer to our installation guide for a full list of recommended and required items.

To join cabinets together, we recommend using a 1¼" stainless steel screw. We offer these in our WSSS1.25-Screw Kit for your convenience.

Design & Installation Planning

Yes, but with an important requirement: any built-in, heat-generating appliance must be installed with a manufacturer-supplied insulated jacket or liner. Installing a grill without this protective component will cause irreparable damage to your cabinets and will void the warranty. Always follow the appliance manufacturer’s installation guidelines.

Yes. Any cabinet sides or backs exposed to direct sunlight or weather must be covered with a matching end panel made of coordinating High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). These panels protect against UV damage and moisture. Failure to install them will void the cabinet warranty.

Matching toe kick is optional and must be purchased separately. It comes in a 6” x 96” size and is designed for on-site modification and installation to suit your specific layout and preferences.

Yes, it’s recommended. When installing cabinets with end panels against a wall, a minimum ¾" filler panel should be used. This prevents full overlay doors or drawer fronts from rubbing against the wall and ensures smooth operation.

Absolutely. WeatherStrong cabinets are built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, making them an excellent choice for indoor installations as well—especially in damp or high-moisture areas like basements, laundry rooms, and garages.

No. WeatherStrong does not include installation hardware with orders due to the wide variety of wall and floor construction types.

We recommend reviewing our installation guide for a list of suggested and required items. To secure cabinets together, use 1¼" stainless steel screws—available in our optional WSSS1.25-Screw Kit.

Care & Maintenance

Clean your cabinets using water and a soft cloth or sponge. For everyday messes, a mild dishwashing liquid works well. For tougher spots, use Simple Green All-Purpose Household Cleaner. A soft-bristle brush can help with stubborn grime.

For hardware like pulls and hinges, wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then immediately dry with a lint-free cotton cloth to maintain their appearance and prevent buildup. To help prevent surface rust, it's recommended to clean all stainless steel components several times a month to remove salt deposits before they can lead to corrosion.

Our Marine Grade Polymer features consistent color all the way through the material. Unfortunate scratches that break through the surface will be less noticeable.

Absolutely. We offer a range of replacement parts, including doors, drawer fronts, and hardware. To order, please contact your dealer or visit our website for more information.
